I am only on season 2 (started watching at the recommendation/request of my daughter) she laughs every time I say that I do not like Clark.

Clarke has simply fallen in line with the rest of the Chancellors who have had to make the hard choices that keep their people alive. It's a no win win. The people she saves will love her unless they lose one of their loved ones in the process. In this world there's to much at stake to have a wait and see attitude. This is why Waneeda has become so feared by others.
I'm anxious to see what Octavia has become after 7 years couped up in a bunker with all those clans. If she's still leader she also must become ruthless.
