Yes, I do feel the show has missed opportunities to evolve its premise; I would've introduced more concrete mysticism and supernatural elements to add to the savage wasteland, that way the show could present some more challenging obstacles for the kids.

Also, though its happened before, I feel Clarke needs to be challenged more for the leadership of the Sky People as she's constantly making big decisions with massive consequences, yet gets little blowback from her people.

As you mention, Kimmel77, Clarke makes serious decisions affecting many people. When circumstances force her to act, she eventually chooses with agony, then second guesses herself. At their present level of disorganization, it would possibly not be workable to get democracy-type input from the group?

What a great suggestion for concrete mysticism! The TreeCrew in particular should have more cultural traits besides fierceness and blood for blood. I assume they are hunter-gatherers; there should be more knowledge and respect for the ecology and animal populations. Normally your food supply is connected with the sacred.

Clarke seems to be transitioning from child to adult. Seems like her mother keeps pushing her buttons, trying to force Clarke back into dependent child mode. I really dislike the mother character.

I keep watching this show in the fashion that I watch Vikings and outsiders... I watch because they're genres that are up my alley however they continue to not live up to my expectations and hopeful optimism. Also I'm pretty sure I'm about 15 - 20 years older than the target market for this show so that might explain some of my gripes with the writing and as alluded to missed opportunities in plot advancement. But to answer the question I do like it, just wish I liked it more.

Hi, chucknorriss. Plenty of action/outdoor adventure and it actually does seems more realistic than 'Survivor". How did the SkyCrew know how to swim after being in space for three generations? Must be good Earth Skills training. I'm not in the target market age group either, but compared to me, you just a kid.

@lynxx hilarious catch on the swim lessons. I also love the actor from shameless and black sails who's now the head of all tribes, I just hope they don't waste his talent which is what they've done with some actors... Desmond from lost is what drew me to watching it and he's been great, I also love Isaiah Washington and clarks mother, some of the pet peeves I guess are the doom and gloom dialogue mentioned above, it's at an overkill level at times. I'll say again, I like the show and I'll keep watching. I had a feeling that back to space was where they were headed all I know is that they're gonna need more ships now though.

I will keep watching..however i hate what they've done with jaspers character..he was my fav .. Now he's destroyed.. Also..how is no one pregnant yet? The first 2 or 3 seasons all anyone ever did was have sex and fight lol.

Sort of a guilty pleasure, I binge watched the 1st 3 seasons. 4th season is okay, hard to go from binge watching to waiting every week.

Raven is not pregnant, I highly doubt they would bring a story like that in. She hasn't even been with anyone, Wick is not coming back.

Totally agree with the previous statement of transitioning from binge watching to weekly. I can't quite figure out if I'm not enjoying season 4 because it's not as good or if it's not drawing me in like 1-3 because I'm not binge watching it. The commercials very 5 minutes is annoying and the only reason I'm tuning in weekly is I set my phone alarm to remind me. After the marathon enjoyment of binge watching it's really losing my attention to go for a week waiting. Loved loved this when I binged it...and I'm probably not its target audience as I'm 48. Seriously thinking about waiting for season 4 to be streamable. I wouldn't want the weekly thing to make me give up on the show.
