Well, nice plot I guess. But it doesn't make sense that the Eastern Federation would leave a shuttle behind. Maybe they're still coming back for it. Could be the cliffhanger at the end of this episode, which I haven't reached yet.
Okay that didn't happen, at least not yet. But they didn't show them being underway again either.
From what has gone before, it would have made more sense to just move the engines from Ark 1 over to Ark 3. Apparently the engines were the only really damaged part of Ark 3, but Ark 3 had a lot more accommodations and supplies etc than Ark 1 which lost those at the very start of the series. Remember Ark 3 had beds and such for the people, they had the FTL and didn't require the sleep chambers that Ark 1 had but were lost at the very start of the series. Plus all the other supplies in the other parts of Ark 1 that were lost.
