Well, the plot continues to develop, but there are a few other issues:

As I mentioned before, why didn't they know that the "bad girl" wasn't part of the Ark 3 crew? They checked everyone, didn't they? And it wasn't just her, there was a boarding party that wouldn't have matched up with the crew lists.

Then, why was there a place for the Ark 15 shuttle to dock? If they didn't keep the Ark 3 shuttle, why the hell didn't they?

Oh, and Ark 1 was supposed to be 4/5ths of the way to Proxima B. For Ark 3 using FTL it was supposed to be a 9-month trip. Since they wound up at the same point, that would have meant Ark 3 had another almost 2 months to go, at FTL. And it would take Ark 1 that long also at FTL. But in this episode they were only at FTL for what, a few hours? Certainly not 2 months.
