A comet doesn't have a tail except when it's near a star.
Oh, and I knew as soon as an asteroid was mentioned, that it would turn out to be a comet that they got water from.
Actually, I figured they would get water somehow like that, but as soon as they mentioned an asteroid, I knew it would be this episode.
They're trying to "jump start" some kind of atomic engines, and the KEYBOARD sparks?!?!?
And if they're supposed to colonize a new planet, why wouldn't they have any explosives?
Lots of the physics are still a mess, of course. "Gravity" in areas that aren't rotating, etc. Using the shuttle to turn the Ark, once in motion it would have to "pull" the other direction to stop the turn...
Blah blah blah.

Oh, and looking for nearby systems to get water?
Proxima Centauri is THE CLOSEST star to Earth. A little over 4 light-years. Barnard's Star is next closest, just under 6 light-years, but in a very different direction!
There are NO CLOSER SYSTEMS TO EARTH than Proxima.
Period.
Actually, WISE 1049-5319 is closer to Proxima, about 2 light-years beyond on a course from Earth. But they would get to Proxima FIRST.
And let's not even start on how unlikely they would be to encounter a comet that far out.
