I've actually seen that! Lol. I was watching the credits for The Ark to see if Harlan Ellison was mentioned because if he was alive he'd be suing!
The show reminds me of all those lost in space shows I like (Stargate Universe, Stargate Atlantis (S1 anyway), Voyager and Star Lost.) I think I enjoyed the first few episodes more than most. We will see how the show progresses.
EDIT: We need more new mid level sci-fi shows. Everything now is huge budget Disney/Marvel/Amazon/Apple shows. Netflix it's hard to enjoy shows because they cancel them too soon. Come on Stargate and Babylon 5 reboots!

As mentioned before, I'm curious to find out why they weren't using their light-speed or faster-than-light propulsion already, if they had it. Did someone not realize until episode 2 or something that they couldn't get to Centauri in 5 years without something "special?"

I would rather they wait on a Babylon 5 reboot for quite a while, if not forever. They captured lightning in a bottle once, and it's not likely to happen again. If they did it now, they'd probably make Marcus in love with Garibaldi instead of Susan, etc etc. I'm too old for that much barfing.
The plot description indicates that The Ark here isn't lost, and that Indiana Jones isn't battling Nazis in a quest to keep it out of evil hands. Subsequently I chose not to tune in
Not "lost," no. But as of episode 2 they have like a week of water left for a trip that's got at least another year to go.
Episode 3. Boy, are these sets cheap. The engineering area, and the place where they do water reclamation are horrible sets. Lol. At least make the bridge look like something! It took them all episode to figure out how to move the spaceship. Other shows have done this in the past. This crew is doomed.
The head engineer is dressed like Rosie the Riveter every episode. I'm waiting for them to give her a big wrench.
Not sure if I'm getting the Mormon cracks. Did see any reference to Mormons in the first two episodes? A mixed bunch of young crew members.
I may be wrong, but someone might have gotten it confused with The Starlost (see my previous comment with the youtube link) which was actually more like Amish, not Mormons.
They should I hope have a season 2. And they should throw some money into the sets. I mean it's the same sets every week so it's not like they're shooting on alien planets.
To be fair to the show's universe, they were supposed to be "sleeping" except for the first week, and the last week or possibly month. So the bridge etc didn't need to be as elaborate as, say, Star Trek.

I watched it and I think they've done better this time. I heard the series didn't get enough budget. I think I read it somewhere here https://www.watchinuk.co.uk/watch-the-ark-in-uk/

It's still stupid in a lot of ways, but they just might have a story idea that's worth some attention. Unlike so much other current stuff.
