I didn't know about it until today. Haven't seen it yet, but it looks and sounds like a combination/reboot of "The Starlost" and "Deepwater Black" (retitled as "Mission Genesis" when shown on Sci-Fi Channel).
Might also have similarities to "Dark Matter" but I only ever saw a couple episodes of that.
Having seen how much garbage was in the movie "Passengers" I can't be optimistic.

I watched the first episode last night on Devlin's 'vanity' streaming channel Electric Now & all I can say is, WHAT A STINKER! Devlin has had some good things (Leverage, Leverage: Redemption, The Librarians were fun) & some really bad things(this & The Outpost are two examples) but I figured with Glassner (Stargate: SG-1) also part of it, it would be good?
I'm going to watch. I'm fresh out of midlevel sci fi shows.
It might be a decent story, if they don't mess things up TOO much. Supposedly they're able to use some kind of FTL propulsion in an upcoming episode, maybe they'll explain why they weren't using it already.
Oh, and if you haven't already watched all of Babylon 5 at least twice, do that instead.

It seems like a generic SyFy show but i'll give it a chance for a few more episodes.

Knixon, Tried to leave this as a reply to your comment but kept getting an error message? This site is so weird sometimes.

More like Amish, I suppose. "Mormons in Space" was Battlestar Galactica.

Not sure if I'm getting the Mormon cracks. Did see any reference to Mormons in the first two episodes? A mixed bunch of young crew members.
