They are listed as special episodes because they weren't broadcasted during the first run of the series and were only released later..
AniDB also list them as special episodes.
Note : I'm going to hide your 2 other reports. One report for the 3 episodes 0x2, 0x3 and 0x4 is sufficient.

They don't count I take it? It should have just been "They are listed as special episodes because they weren't broadcasted during the first run of the series and were only released later." Don't make it more confusing. I disagree but feel free to close this.
