The show would take a nose dive.

Obviously didn't want it to happen until the very end.

They probably thought Kristian Krook was a sellar for the show. Fans had shop wars over her and Chole. So popular character leaving was seen as a bad thing. Good thing to as I've seen shows ice or get rid of them and once that happens the show suffers
