Season 8 Episode 14 Requiem, is the last time we see Lana. We could discuss why, about the different mainstream versions the past 80 years, about season 11 (comic), about the writers, about Clark and Lois "need" to happen, etc. But this thread is not[ about that.
In this thread me make true that s08e14 is the last episode and its "us" that writes what happens next!
this is my version: Clark goes to Fortress of Solitude (Fortress of Knowledge) for answers. He is desperate and also threatens to not follow any demands from Jor-El if he can't be with Lana. (I mean, they have technology beyond human understanding). Jor-El tells Clark that he can put Lana inside Kryptonian chamber, it will take time to "transform" Lana, and while she is inside, Clark need to follow every demands from Jor-El. Lana will agree (after some persuasion) to enter the chamber, even if she will be away for some time. During this time, we have Clark in different adventures. Eventually Lana gets out, and to the surprise of everyone, she is now half human/kryptonian and can now be together with Clark.
this is just a "base" idea, we could make Clark suffer more, where he need to wait "a long time for Lana", and during that time he is with Lois. of course, the moment Lana is back, Clark will go back to her. So, he could easily follow the normal Clark/Lois storyline until the day Lana is back.
What say? and what would you like if you could write the story?

Makes me wish even more they ended Clana a lot sooner, as the creators said it was like a three season love story that lasted six seasons.

I think the first time she left should've been it or keep her on the show. Lois never grew on me and they changed so much already. They could've done alot instead of making it impossible with her abilities trigged by kryptonite.

I'm binging the series now and in the middle of season 10 so almost there toward the end. Anyway, I agree the Clana romance did nothing for me actually the Lana character did nothing for me in general. I enjoy the series but that Clana drama lasted way too long and I personally think the series was better when Lana finally left. I have been saying also that Clana should have ended at the end of season 3 and with Lana going to Paris at the end of that season should have been the end of the character but she was shoved down our throats for like 3 more seasons.

The whole love interest not knowing the hero's secret for the entire run has had it's day during Smallville's time, you have love interests and sidekicks knowing the hero's secret much early on with Arrow, Flash and Supergirl because them not knowing had become timeworn and too much of a stretch of credibility, which lead to more interesting possibilities.
They thought the last episode was gonna be partly about Clana ending for good and they feared once Lana knew Clark's secret the show would take a turn for the worst.
