Were they really necessary. It seems they had enough characters without adding two more.

I did like the episode where Eric and Annie thought Mary was pregnant and the twist was that Annie was pregnant, but they didn't have to go through with the pregnancy. The twins were annoying and added nothing except that Ruthie was no longer the youngest.
