Discuss One Foot in the Grave

Item: Who's Listening? (1990 Christmas Special) (2x7)

Language: en-US

Type of Problem: Duplicate

Extra Details: Additional episodes have been added incorrectly as they already exist as specials...

  • S02E07 dup of S00E01
  • S02E08 dup of S00E02
  • S04E07 dup of S00E04
  • S05E06 dup of S00E06
  • S05E07 dup of S00E07
  • S05E08 dup of S00E08
  • S05E09 dup of S00E08 & S05E08

If a moderator agrees with my assessment then the season specific ones should be deleted and the specials remain.

I agree.

The BBC website confirms 6 seasons, each with 6 episodes. The other episodes are separated out from the seasons and should therefore be listed as Specials.

Thanks

Unfortunately someone has re-added all the duplicate episodes again. As per my previous post and the BBC website, there should be 6 seasons each with 6 episodes.

Thanks

Rats, this happens from time to time when folks don't read the bible or are new to the site.

I'd vote that when a moderator deletes these again that they also this time locks seasons so they can't be added to again. The show is ended so should not be changing at this point.

The user is now banned as it was the same as the first time.

The seasons are now locked.

The user who have added the Christmas specials to the regular seasons explain that these episodes were previously numbered as part of the regular season.

So, I have checked in the Genome:

For the special episode that occur between Season 2 and Season 3:

  • "Timeless Time" is clearly listed at the time of its broadcast as the last episode of the 2nd season : "The last of a comedy series..."
  • "Who's Listening?" is listed without numbering at the time of its initial broadcast. There is an explicit indication that its a special episode: "A special edition of the comedy series..."
  • "The Man in the Long Black Coat" is listed without numbering at the time of its initial broadcast.

For the special episodes that occur between Season 4 and Season 5:

  • "The Worst Horror of All" is clearly listed at the time of its broadcast as the last episode of the 4th season : "Last in the series..."
  • "One Foot in the Algarve" is listed without numbering at the time of its initial broadcast.

For the special episodes that occur between Season 5 and Season 6:

So, the fact that these episodes are special episodes is confirmed.
