I don't recall seeing a thread about this episode on the board so after watching it for the 3 millionth time yesterday night 😉 I decided to do one.

The Controllers Parts 1 and 2 are the 3rd and 4th episodes of season four. The mission for our plucky band of IMF Agents this time is to stop 2 rival Eastern European bad guys (and how do we know that they're Eastern European? By their accents, of course!) from developing a drug that basically turns people into mindless zombies that can be controlled (by the bad guys, surprise, surprise). If the bad guys can fix some unfortunate side effects, their country plans to use this stuff to TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!!

Our Female Guest IMF Agent for these episodes is a chemist by the name of Meredith, played by Dina Merrill. She and Jim will be impersonating 2 American scientists who went over to the dark side of the force and in cahoots (don't you love that word?) with the military bad guy and developed one of the competing zombie drugs. And how will Meredith and Jim fool the Colonel into thinking that they're the evil scientists? By telling him that they had plastic surgery to make them better looking than the people in the photo shown at the briefing. This works, and they're off to the evil Eastern European country.

The other bad guy (sorry this is so long, folks, but it's been awhile since I did one of my smart-ass recaps), is a scientist who is in a rivalry with the Colonel. His zombie drug has the unfortunate side effect of making people catatonic while they're standing up 🤯, and apparently it's hard to TAKE OVER THE WORLD if your zombie army is catatonic while standing up. So he's trying to fix his drug.

Will the scientist bad guy fix his zombie drug? Will Meredith and Jim be able to convince the Colonel that they're evil scientists? Will we find out where the hell Paris, Barney, and Willie (who fortunately doesn't have to say "right Jim" even once 🥳) are in the first part of these 2 episodes? Basically in my next post.
