In looking at my previous reviews, I only finished watching this series last time in 2020. I thought it was way longer ago than that. But then again, I probably started the rewatch in 2015 or something like that so I guess I have reached the 7 or 8 year mark so I can watch again soon. I can revisit my old reviews and see if my thoughts have changed so that is cool at least. I still have other shows to finish first. Picard and strange new worlds, and Star Wars stuff.

@Jayhn1111: I haven't watched all of the Strange New Worlds episodes, but I really like the ones I've seen, especially the first episode when they showed a clip from the 1951 version of The Day The Earth Stood Still. It's nice to know that that awesome film will still be watched and appreciated 200 years from now.

I will be watching it soon enough. I have 6 more episodes of Picard to get through 😊

@Jayhn1111: I don't know if I mentioned it before, but I watched the first 5 episodes of season one of Picard. I just then basically lost interest in the series and haven't watched another episode since (although I did manage to make it through the first 15 minutes of episode 1 of season 3 of Picard). At least I can say say that I tried, damn it. In the name of Robert Lansing, I TRIED!

Some people love the first but hate the 2nd season. I personally thought season 1 was the weakest. I still have not gotten to those last 5 episodes . Just haven't been motivated.

@Jayhn1111: I haven't been motivated to watch seasons 2 and 3 of Picard, which is very sad because I was so looking forward to it when they announced that Patrick Stewart was making a Star Trek series about Picard.

It’s not a long series at least. I still haven’t finished it though 😀

@Jayhn1111: I think the reason I may have lost interest was when Seven of Nine showed up I immediately thought "Oh no, she's going to take over Picard the way she took over Voyager!" I watched the first 5 episodes of season one before I lost interest. But, thanks to my subscription to Paramount Plus I can watch the entire series again someday.

They needed her on the show and she was really good on it.

@Jayhn1111: I just saw a clip on YouTube of a scene from the series finale of Picard. It seems that Annika Hansen (7 of 9's real name) apparently joined Starfleet sometime during the 3 seasons of Picard, and in the series finale not only gets promoted to Captain, but is given command of a brand new Enterprise! Not bad for a former Borg drone, don't you think?

A lot of my friends did not like this series but I enjoyed it very much. Especially the ending and seeing the gang back together!!!

@Jayhn1111 : I think that I'm probably going to watch all 3 seasons of Picard now because I've seen clips on YouTube of Picard season 2's plot twist that Lariss, the Romulan who works for Picard in season one actually works for the same aliens Gary Seven did!

Although Laris and Tallinn are played by the same actress, Orla Brady, they are not the same person in "Star Trek: Picard".

** SPOILERS **
Laris was a female Romulan, who with her husband Zhaban did the housekeeping for Picard. Both were Tal'Shiar Agents who had defected to the Federation.
Tallinn was a female Romulan, who like Gary Seven, worked as a Supervisor for the Aegis. Her assignment was to protect an ancestor of Jean-Luc Picard, who would be crucial for the development of United Earth and the UFP.
Could Laris be a descendant of Tallinn? The inclusion of the same actress to play an agent of Aegis, did give the plot an interesting twist, as Picard confused her with Laris.
It is not uncommon for the same actor to play different roles in the same series. Best example is Brent Spiner, who plays all the roles of the ancestors and descendants of Doctor Noonien Soong, including the androids Data, Lore and B-4.

@wonder2wonder: As I alluded to in my post, all I know about the Aegis (I loved the Aegis name since that's what the Gary Seven aliens are called in Greg Cox's TOS novel Assignment: Eternity. There is also a Romulan working for them in the novel) subplot in season two of Picard is from clips on YouTube. There's really no excuse for my ignorance since I have Paramount Plus and can watch the entire series easily.
