Discuss Mission: Impossible

Just watched this episode and it was pretty good but I found myself comparing it to the original episode the whole time because the original was a memorable episode I felt

I always found myself doing the same. But for a re-boot pilot, it wasn't that bad. I know Phelps' protege Copperfield (actor Vince Martin) didn't have much screen time. But I think he was cast because of his similar appearance to Peter Graves. A younger 80's version of Mr. Phelps himself.

I dont remember how many episodes were remakes but hopefully not that many more. I look forward to Casey being killed off the show. I think that happens like a dozen episodes in

Yes, Casey has the dubious distinction of being the only IMF agent in either series to be disavowed is interesting. And speaking of Casey, I can't believe that the producers didn't know there had been a character named Casey in the original series. Apparently they didn't do their research!

Yeah I remember when Linda day George appeared and Jim kept calling her Lisa. I didn’t know what the heck was going on. And then I read about it how they did that because they didn’t want there to be two Caseys so they played it off like her last name was Casey. I wasn’t buying it

Well, Casey and Paris are the two characters who didn't have a complete name. I'm pretty sure that Paris was his stage name. But with Casey it was simply stupid to do that.

Yes because he would’ve either always called her Lisa or he would’ve continued to call her Casey in the 80’s. The whole thing confused me at the time

Me too!

@Jayhn1111 : Oh well, things could have been worse. It could have been that horrendous series finale episode The Sons Of Seth.

I have kind of took a break from the series in the last few weeks. I have been enjoying the episodes thus far. I think I watched like 8 episodes. Obviously not in the same league as the original series but I am enjoying it.

One of the few episodes that I DID like was the second season episode Cargo Cult.
