Roddy McDowall "accidentally" shoots his brother and fellow crime boss during a hunting accident. So his brother is bandaged up and bedridden and no one can see his face and he is giving orders from behind his gauze mask. Jim, quite understandably, doesn't believe that it is really his brother in the bed so the IMF devises a delightfully convoluted plant to smash this criminal organization.
I watched this with my mom who is visiting for New Year's Day.
"I remember this show being in black and white."
That's because she watched in on a black and white TV. I had never seen this episode, but I have become familiar enough with the show to anticipate some of the IMF tricks.
"She's not really a junkie, mom. She's just pretending. They have to give up the information reluctantly or the bad guys won't believe it. "
Or
"Oh. This guy (Joseph Ruskin) is part of the team. I see!"
"Yeah. He this actor usually plays a bad guy. But this time he's a temporary member of the good guy's team."
Or
"Breaking and entering? Fraud? These Mission Impossible guys are criminals, too."
And
in the big "reveal," we see that the man behind the bandages really is Roddy McD0well's brother, I inadvertently blurted out that "He's wearing a mask. The Misssion Impossible people do that a lot."
Anyway. It was a fun episode. Another winner. I'm glad I went ahead and started watching the seventh season!

I was so happy that Joseph Ruskin got to play a guest star IMF agent!

I've always liked the actor who played the brother, John Crawford. This was his fourth appearance on the show and the first time he played a bad guy.

Hello everyone! One of the best parts of the episode was when Roddy McDowell forces Barney to drink the drug laced beverage he was going to give John Crawford. It reminded me of my heart problems (Did I mention that on Halloween my defibrillator went off?)

No! What happened? See this is why we need to keep in better touch here. I am the guilty one with that. New Years resolution

Well, on Halloween I was just relaxing in my room. When I stood up, I got a little dizzy. It lasted for only a minute. I had no other symptoms. When I got to the bathroom, for some nutty reason my heart up to 233 bpm. So, the defibrillator went on to shock my heart to get the heartbeat to slow down. It was very painful. I seriously thought that I was dying.
Anyway, I called the paramedics and was taken to the ER. I then was admitted to the hospital. A test was done and I had to get an angioplasty. It found a blockage in one of the veins, but it was decided to treat it with medication instead of a putting in a stent.

That is really scary 😟 I can’t imagine what you felt like. Thank god you made it to the ER too. How’s things working with the medication?

Pretty good. The vein is only 50% blocked, if the medication doesn't work and the blockage goes to 70%, then they'll probably put a stent in.
BTW, shortly after I was admitted, I told my cardiologist that the defibrillator went off and he had a guy from St. Jude (that's the name of the company that made it) to interrogate the device. As he was doing it, I asked him if he was going to give the ICD The Miranda Warning first.

It's okay. This all happened back in November 2019.
