Discuss Mission: Impossible

Buddy Rich has an ego, but he is possibly the best drummer I have ever witnessed.

Take note of the the second half of this interview where Buddy Rich expresses contempt for Country music. He equates Jazz vs. Country music as being similar to Mission: Impossible vs. TV Westerns.

Wow, I really need to watch that. Thanks for the heads-up!

Speaking of tributes to MI, I was watching an episode of MST3K (The movie was called Terror From The Year 5000), and when one of the characters started putting on a mask Tom Servo made a crack about Martin Landau, then quietly hummed the theme until the end of the scene!

I have no idea why I was watching this movie, but it starred Cameron Diaz as a woman who had been cheated on. Kate Upton was in it, too. They were both being cheated on by the same guy. There was a third woman who was in their same uncomfortable boat. So they team up to get revenge.

I can't remember the title, but it should be easy enough to look up.

The only detail I remember is that when they implemented their plan, the Mission: Impossible theme started up. (Otherwise, my seeing it would have completely been erased from my mind.)

The Mission Impossible theme was played during the Gentleman Jack crack.
