Maybe we 've done this before? I can't remember, but thought I'd try it again, to see how much traction this thread might garner. I was inspired by Maria's and Mel's "babe of the week" comments on another thread. Excluding regulars and semi-regulars (Lee Merriwether, Lesley Warren, Lynda Day George, Barbara Anderson) who would you want to replace Cinnamon?
From among the designated "babes" of the week, I liked Anne Francis. She looked hot in her all black stealth outfit from Honey West. Thanks for reminding me, Mel! From among "outsiders" Diana Rigg from The Avengers. Equally hot in her leather jump suit, ala Lee Merriwether's cat suit!

I liked the concept of a rotating newbie every week. I think that was Bruce Geller's vision from the beginning. His selection of Wally Cox as Terry Targo the safe cracker in The Pilot, and Martin Landau's recurring "guest star" role in season one points to that. Also, a lot of guest stars in the first season were not only villains, but guest agents pulled from the IMF photo file, selected for their specialty germaine to the mission.
Anyway, back to klondike's OP, I was partial to Cinnamon's first replacement, Lynn - no last name (right Casey?
). As I understand, the part was written specifically for Barbra Bain, which subjected her character to the indignity of a full body search in the The Code (season 4, episode 1). I would love to see how BB would have carried that off! I think Alexandra Hay (age 22 at the time!!) handled it well!

I always loved Barbara Luna. She did such a great job in the first season episode Elena that they should have brought her back in season four to replace Cinnamon.

Barbara Luna! Great choice. Gotta agree!! I've been racking my brain on this one, trying to conform to Klondike's parameters. Regardless, I'd like to go on record by saying Lee Merriwether would have been my first choice. But ... Barbara Luna would definitely have added some exoticism (is there such a word?) to the cast.

I think Michelle Carey (she was in the fourth season episode The Brothers) would be great!

Julie Gregg (Monique from The Amnesiac -season 4) or Sally Struthers pre-Archie Bunker both had potential.

Speaking of Julie Gregg, I just saw her on an episode of Classic Hawaii 5-0!

Five-O: TOS! OMG! Of course, Jack Lord, the original Felix Leiter. I don't remember if he was mentioned in your original thread Maria, but he woud have made a good IMF team leader if, Briggs or Phelps weren't available.
PS- to Lima: Don't worry about my "parameters." Just looking for fresh ideas. I hope I'm not an ogre OP

Another really sexy actress who would have been great on MI is Nancy Kovak. I saw her on episodes of Twelve O'Clock High, Classic Hawaii 5-0, and It Takes A Thief.

YESSSS!! Brilliant as Nona, Tyree's wife on Star Trek: TOS and as Darren Stevens first girl friend in Bewitched.
All over TV in those days.

I didn't know that she had been on Star Trek TOS. I'll have to watch that episode. She was great in the TOH episode Appointment In Liege. Gary Lockwood was in that one too.

I totally agree about Lee merriweather. I loved her and wanted to see more of her. But since we’re not counting her in this, I am with Barbara Luna. She was amazing. Also loved her on the Star Trek episode. Though had I been more familiar with the other actresses that were on the show for an episode maybe I’d feel differently. Probably not though.

I wasn’t sure at first how I felt about the rotating newbie thing but it was working for me. In a way it kept things kind of fresh to have a new face every episode. Plus I think they all did a pretty good job. By the way it is cool to see you guys posting here 😃

Welcome back, Jayhn! I have another name for the "Cinnamon replacement" game: Diana Muldauer!
