This is one of my favorite season one episodes. Martin Landau did a great James Bond impression, Barbara Luna was so beautiful as Elena and did a great job with her character, and the storyline was a good one. Every Classic Mission Impossible fan needs to see this episode at least once in their lifetime!

She certainly was! She was also in a season 4 episode.

I wish Barbara Luna could have come back in an another episode as Elena. It would have been interesting to see how she was doing since the episode Elena ended.

At least she came back on the show, but as a member of the team. Wei Lei or something was her name.

Yes, that was her character's name. I was just thinking (Maria can think?) that it would have been cool to have Elena join the team to replace Cinnamon.
One of the other things I liked about this episode is it's shall we say pragmatic view of what happens to a disavowed agent. The mission: have Rollin and the psychiatrist Carlos determine why Elena is acting so erratically, and if they can't figure out what's going on, she will be killed. I thought that it was interesting to even have the assassin coming very close to shooting her. In later seasons, they were a little more vague about what happens to disavowed agents, but I thought it was interesting the way the situation was very forthright about it.

That's true I hadn't thought about it that way. Maybe they could've delved further into those types of things

@Jayhn1111: I think that the only other episode where this topic was a dealt with was in Season 5 in the episode My Friend, My Enemy. Paris is briefly captured by the enemy and had an implant installed that could be used tomake him kill Jim. He's released, and per protocol is being cleared. When Paris starts acting crazy, Jim is asked by Paris and Dana, "Jim, you know what will happen if he doesn't get clearance" in a paniced tone of voice. I feel that this episode is the closest one since Elena to mention the "what happens if an agent gets disavowed" question.

That was probably my least favorite episode in the series.
