Overview

在遥远宇宙的最深处，有一颗名为塞博坦的星球。数千万年前，一种高级智慧生命体为了某种目的开发出军用和民用两种机器人，但是随着各种事件的发生和机器人不断进化，机器人最终取得独立和自由。他们分别称作狂派（霸天虎）和博派（汽车人），双方为了争夺塞博坦的统治展开旷日持久且不断升级的战争。时至今日，能源枯竭的塞博坦迫使博派向外寻求能量，而狂派尾随而至，双方最终来到了地球。

自此以后，双方在擎天柱和威震天的率领下，以地球为据点展开新一轮的较量。神乎其神的变形能力，不断得到开发的新型战士，以及彼此全力争夺的能量块。宏伟的变形金刚故事缓缓拉开大幕……
