Just watched this episode on MeTV. So many interesting things here. Especially near the end.
Paul Drake drags the "alleged deceased victim" into court, whose wife was on trial for his murder. A neat twist! I never did learn whose body was actually burned in the train car fire. Can anyone enlighten me? Did MeTV cut that scene for commercials?
Members of the Wildcats football team were portrayed by real life LA Rams players from that era. The only name I recognized was Roman Gabriel.
During the epilogue scene, Della mentions Paul's military service in the Marines. I think that was the first time I heard that mentioned. A neat tidbit of information. I know from previous episodes that Perry did Navy service during the war.
In real life Raymond Burr actually did Navy service during WWII, as did William Hopper. Hopper was UDT, forerunner of the Navy SEALS.

I'll have to re-watch this episode. I knew that William Hopper was a UDT frogman. I never knew that his character Paul Drake was supposed to be a a Marine.
