Wally is invited to a wild party at Wizard Whitebeard’s cave. However once getting there, Wally is more interested in the cave paintings found on the Wizard’s walls; he soon he decides to travel to a time he’s never been to – back to the Stone Age. Wally (and Woof) travel back in time and soon meet Sconk, a tribe leader, who shows Wally the tribe’s latest project. The tribe is building a huge theater, but unlike other tribes, they have enlisted the work of animals to get the job done. As usual, trouble starts as soon as Odlaw shows up. Odlaw teams up with the scheming caveman Carn, and the two convince the animals to go on strike – and stop working until they get more respect. With the help of Wally, Sconk attempts to restore peace between the animals and caveman and complete the theater. Wally evens runs into an old ancestor (and his dog Bark). Will the humans be able to come to an agreement with the bears, mammoths, mice, birds, dogs, and other creatures?

Wally est invité à une fête endiablée dans la grotte du sorcier Barbe Blanche. Cependant, une fois arrivé sur place, Wally s'intéresse davantage aux peintures rupestres trouvées sur les murs du sorcier ; il décide bientôt de voyager à une époque où il n’est jamais allé – à l’âge de pierre. Wally voyagent dans le temps et rencontrent bientôt Sconk, un chef de tribu, qui montre à Wally le dernier projet de la tribu. La tribu est en train de construire un immense théâtre. Comme d'habitude, les ennuis commencent dès qu'Odlaw apparaît. Odlaw fait équipe avec l'intrigant homme des cavernes Carn, et les deux convainquent les animaux de faire grève – et d'arrêter de travailler jusqu'à ce qu'ils obtiennent plus de respect. Avec l'aide de Wally, Sconk tente de rétablir la paix entre les animaux et l'homme des cavernes et d'achever le théâtre. Les humains parviendront-ils à s'entendre avec les ours, les mammouths, les souris, les oiseaux, les chiens et autres créatures ?
