Discuter de The X-Files

I just remember in the original series the answer were not always available and the audience had to figure it out for themselves and the pieces were spread out throughout the series. Now that X-Files is back, it seems like they are dishing out the answers with long exposition by nameless characters instead of having the audience figure it out along with Mulder and Scully. Last nights episode had the nameless Alien Conspirator laying out the entire plan to Mulder and then after that CSM laying out his entire plan to Skinner, so now every major character knows everything in the first episode. Also did they make Skinner blatantly evil? Throughout the original series, he has always played both sides, however he hid it a little bit better, now he seems to be really giving off the shady vibe, in fact they might as well give him a mustache so he can twirl it. Something seems to be off from the original series and I am not sure if they are dumbing it down for the current audience who just want the answers up front as opposed to figuring it out as the series progresses from beginning to end.

He has a mustache.

Technically he has a beard, it is not the same thing, it requires different grooming habits.

Skinner has a beard and a mustache .

I totally agree with you here- so much so that I fell sleeping during all the longgg explanations. Going to try to stay woke for a second viewing.

I think a lot has to do with the length of the series. CC doesn't have much time to present the mytharc. I have read that we are getting 10 episodes. In that, I'm not sure how many will be the conspiracy. I agree that the CSM and his intentions are inane. I am VERY disappointed with this first episode.

I agree they have to rush things along because of the short season. I have to admit I rather enjoyed Episode 1. I'm in general not a fan of the mythology (prefer the stand-alone episodes), but I liked the fast-moving, thriller aspect.

I am generally disappointed at this point , with 3 eps in. Looks like next week it is a comedic episode. ( rolls eyes )
