EDDIE and ADAM rewrote themselves again with how emma got her last name bc in the pilot i believe dont know if thats right could be another episode but it was defnitly stated that it was told by emma that she got her last name from the first family that adopt her at age three before they gave her away when they had thier own child!!

I thought she got her last name from a foster family as well. However, I really like when they explore how Pinnochio shaped Emma's life and I think it was a really sweet moment.

It was never stated on the show where Emma got her last name until this episode.

Yes you are right i just watched the pilot and her other centric episodes it was never mentioned how she got it i got mixed up sorry writers you didnt mess up lol it was my memory.

That is what Jennifer Morrison said once. It was her head canon that Emma got the name Swan from her first family. It was just never something that happened on the show. That is why the writers and the actors head canons can't really be accepted as canon because they often contradict the show.
