I had a dream last night i watched the finale. It was crazy. daphne died and wilke came back (i screamed for like 5 minutes) and angelo came back and so did adriana. and then mingo died to be with daphne.

Weird, ghettosGirl, especially in light of the most recent epi featuring Angelo's ghost. I like how they handled this one, especially Lily's standing up for raising Carlton Jewish. Katherine was uncharacteristically myopic in this one, no? She's always been about diversity and inclusion, then suddenly when Toby asks why they have to baptize Carlton, she replies, "It's what you do!". Seriously? Although many WASPs just can't wrap their heads around not being Christian. What do people think?

I love Switched at Birth and came here from IMDB like many of you have. Its a good show. Love Bay and Daphne.

omg. Those scenes with Travis at his moms... made me sick to my stomach. I have a molester that is related to me. He didn't do it to me, but my mom. Her dad. I literally can not be around him. He skeeves me out to death. So that scene was so incredibly personally powerful.

I find it implausible that John refused to pay Bay's electric bill on the grounds that she chose not to go to college. WTF? How is Bay not entitled to the same sum as it's costing to send Daphne to college? And that it costs them to house Toby and his family? He wouldn't even agree to loan it to her. And then she's compelled to sell her car. Really? I find this out of character for the Kennishes.

Ya considering they paid for tobys apartment (until he was cut off) and he never went to college.

Just saw the finale. Nice. They left the original characters (Vasquezes, Kennishes) in KC, just like they did for Party of Five. I just find it highly unlikely that Travis and Emmett are gonna be able to handle Japan. Two Deafies who can't even use their signing to communicate? What do others think? Does anyone know Deafies who've moved abroad?

If there were a 6th season then we could get to see how they manage in Japan. That's the whole premise of this show is that they manage their situations with their disability. Daphane said it herself.

Yes, but there's a difference between communicating differently and having no communication whatsoever. Even a signing interpreter couldn't help them in Japan.

Sure but every language have their own signing language as well so maybe they can learn Japanese signing. That's something I'd like to see on the show.

I'm a bit sad that people who are fans of this show would dump on the endeavors of deaf people. It's actually a fact that people who know sign language can overcome language-barriers much easier than hearing people.

And those two guys are smart .. many people speak english anyway even in Japan .. so they can write, or just learn some Japanese sign language before they go. One of them spent months in China with Bay. Daphne lived and worked in China as well .. just because she's oral doesn't mean that she's less deaf.

Anyhow please don't give me a shit-storm in case you don't agree with me. Let's all try to be polite (am a little shaken by things people have thrown at me on IMDb for sharing my opinion)

No sh_t storms from here, Wiz. I'm just glad to be discussing a TV show online. I was just lamenting to a fellow film buff about IMDB having closed the boards. Anyway, I was thinking about Emmett and Travis yesterday. They're too interchangeable for me as characters. They were each fiercely in love with Bay and did amazing stuff for her, but to me they almost seemed like nearly the same guy. I didn't get any specific traits from either one that I could say the other one "would never do a thing like that", or "that was so typical of [one or the other]". Still like the show. Just sayin'.
