Janelle considers leaving Flagstaff for good as she and Maddie look at land in Montana; Kody learns that Meri is asking their church for a release, their religion's word for a divorce; Christine and Aspyn throw Ysabel a welcome home party.
I guess they had this stuff filmed before Christine got married to David. We do know Janelle has bought property as there is very recent stories out there on this and she is not going to get back together with Kody. To me, they did a special on Christine and David's marriage so there is no need to show all this. They could have done a recap clip and used more recent footage instead of two year old footage.
As far as Meri asking their church about a release...........why did she not do that when they legally divorced? Why did she not do it years ago? What took her so damn long to realize that Kody wasn't going to get back together with her? And when was the last time ANY of them attended their church?

I can only answer part of that. When they got legally divorced, they had a semblance of a (spiritual) marriage, so she wouldn't need get a release from the church.

I wonder why Christine doesn't invite Meri to some of the get-togethers. I know they weren't besties, but still, they all lived as a family. If she is going to ignore her like that, it seems as if the family never existed as it was presented on TV.
