Discuss Sister Wives

Christine throws a 1950's themed party for her 50th birthday and admits she's dating again; Kody checks out Janelle's new apartment but realizes she's planning a future without him; Meri worries about big changes in her life.

All I can say is good for Janelle for picking her kids over Kody and I'm glad Meri finally woke up and removed herself from the control Robyn and Kody had over her.

Oh dear, Christine has another family gathering where Kody and Robyn aren't invited. I predict tears; the dry ones.

Robyn and her fakeness over not being invited to Christine's birthday party was too much. Christine made it clear she didn't want anything to do with Robyn when she left.

The best line of the night goes to Meri. "Screw him. He's not worth it" You said it Meri....you said it! So glad she finally realized that.

Kody seeming flabbergasted that Janelle doesn't want to reconcile is also fake. He still does not get that his actions are at the root of their problems.

So far this season, Kody has said that he is not interested in a relationship with Meri and never will be, why is she still in Flagstaff, on and on. Openly calls Robyn the love of his life. Wants to reconcile with Janelle because it will look bad to Robyn if he doesn't. He is just laying it all out there. Christine is the boogeyman who ruined his family. And he's shocked, shocked I tell you that Janelle isn't interested in a reconciliation. The lack of self awareness is just staggering. Compelling TV imo.

I'm feeling a certain way about Christine leaving out Meri's child. She always mentions that we will keep our kids together -- meaning Jennele and her bunch but not Leon. I know she invited him to her wedding, but it feels as if Christine constantly leaves out Leon.

Me thinks Robyn was gloating that she found out that Mykelti was carrying twin before Christine.

Question: (off topic) Does Aspyn have red hair? I'm color-blind when it comes to red hair.

I think she’s a natural blond but it may be dyed red now? Not sure. Btw, did anyone else notice how much Mykelti looks like Christine?

Yes, Kody's apparently unaware that he is the root of the problems and doesn't even entertain how Christine and Janelle feel.

I, too, don't get why Meri stayed in Flagstaff for so long and held on for so long. She had to have had some inkling that Kody wasn't interested in a relationship with her before he actually come out and told her.

I don't see it. Out of all of her daughters, Mykelti and Gwen look the least like her, imo.

He's not caring about their feelings, because they mean nothing to him other than a dollar sign. If they weren't of any monetary value, he wouldn't even be upset that they were gone.

Meri sees it as more of any emotional investment of 30 years of marriage and family. She was waiting for her investment to payoff, but it just kept falling. If you hold onto bad stocks, you can always tell yourself that you haven't lost your money, because you are going to hold onto these stocks until they go up in value.

Excellent point Poetist and very true I think

What was the purpose of Mykelti telling everyone at Christine's party that she told Kody and Robyn first about the twins? It's fine if she told them first, but the timing and announcement have me side-eyeing her.

Mykelti’s close relationship with Robyn does fly in the face of Kody’s position that his poor relationships with his older children are because their mothers turned them against him.

Johnnieblack How in the blue hell can you think Christine and Janelle turned those kids against Kody? Do you actually think they can't see how Kody treated their mothers and talked to their mothers and even to them like they were nothing?!?!?!

I don't think that. I am saying that Kody thinks that.
