I would like a remake too, but only if it's done properly - new cast, new FX and maybe spicing the story up a bit. And for the love of God, on cable television, NOT network!
Netflix would be great.
NB. So sad that so many of the original cast has passed away and in a fairly young age - heck, Richard Biggs (Dr. Stephen Franklin) was only 44! :-(
Some aspects of being on cable or some kind of online/streaming service have attractions, but I expect they would be wasted on stuff like adding "love scenes" between Talia Winters and Susan Ivanova, just for titillation, not to really advance the story.

Yeah that's a risk, but they can also do the fight scenes more realistic, more grim if you get my drift.
Yes that's true. And they could do better with some of the space battles too, although by the time they got to Into The Fire they did pretty well with those too. DS9 probably still outdid them some.
I wouldn't mind some re-done effects (although some of them seem okay as-is), but a remake with a new cast, NO WAY!
Hell NO to a remake!
Why? I'm a bit tired of fanboys dismissing any kind of reboot of great TV-series/movies, and they only want to preserve status quo, for no obvious reason. The world is changing, and we should change with it.
I only need to look at something like "re-imagined" Battlestar Galactica to see why a "reboot" is a bad idea, especially THESE days. And the craptastic BG "remake" started 15 years ago! Just think of all the PC SJW nonsense crap they would feel compelled to add NOW.
