This kind of anime, e.g. One Piece or Dragonball Z (to name the best known), do never have seasons as we know it from other tv shows. They are broadcasted from week to week. Nevertheless TMDB has ordered them in seasons for years. It is not quite consistent if Bleach ist the one anime you do stick to this guidelines. Then you have to merge every other anime like this.
Shouldn't the new arc be grouped in with them instead of counting as season 2? If it was counted as one season, then why does every other site separate them but you? Crunchy Roll, Funimation, and HiDive all separate anime by season, which is determined by the Arcs, Parts, or Sets of the show.
Maybe Thousand-Year Blood War should be grouped into Season 1. I don't know enough about Bleach to really say.
But what I will say is that Crunchyroll, Funimation and HiDive are all international distributors, and they tend to organise episodes into seasons unlike in Japan. TMDB reflects how episodes were organised as originally broadcast, and therefore most anime on this website will follow the way they were organised in Japan.
That said, Crunchyroll doesn't always separate anime by season. For example, episodes of Detective Conan are (aside from a licensing quirk resulting in the first 123 episodes being grouped separately) all grouped together.

No. As you can see on the official story page, the episode numbering restart from 1.

Each site has its own set of rules.
Here, we are always going as per the original broadcast. And, in Japan, this first part was broadcasted without season split., with episodes numbered continuously.
You're proving my point by saying that they organize some series as a whole and some separated. The difference is dependent on the series.
Funimation, which is also Crunchyroll was founded by a Japanese man and is now owned by a Japanese company. I also understand that they are international. Pretty sure all sites should be following their lead instead of trying to know better than them. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that TMDB is not a Japanese site and shouldn't be trying to organize series differently than sites or services that are.
I would bet the majority of users would prefer the arcs to be separated even if they do have to be referred to as seasons.
Not trying to argue, just trying to understand the reasoning for going against every other site. If anything, be consistent and put the new arc in with season 1, please.
It would be so great to have a custom order, where seasons are arcs and/or organization is decided by the community. I perfectly understand anime guidelines but with some big shows like bleach, we can see the limits of the guidelines.

If you're going to be this obstinate about this then Bleach: Thousand Blood War should be its own Show not season 2. It's an entirely different show created by an entirely different company. Similar to Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.

No, as indicated officially here, this is the final chapter of the series, as such, it should be added as a second season here. I quote the rule : "Sequels series (i.e. a direct continuation of the story) are added within the same entry. When the episodes numbers are continuous, all episodes are added to the same season. When the episode count is restarted (i.e. the first episode is Episode 1), the new episodes are added as a new season."
Who the fuck is deciding on these rules? Who thought that this site should be the only one where they sort anime in the most inefficient and backwards ass way?

Bleach was originally bradcasted in Japan as one single season. The listing is correct.
If you want another split, you can use an episode group.

Arcs aren't seasons.
None of the links you give are official links.
You can also read the anime guidelines.

They are on our list of anime that need season merge. This merge will be done by the administrator at a later date, not yet defined.

As for every other series that we list, we are going as per the original broadcast of the series. Our anime rules are available here.
We are consistent with the original Japanese broadcast which restart the episode numbering at 1. Consequently, we should do the same here.
