Item: Season 1
Language: en-US
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: I'm having trouble finding out the original broadcast dates for Charlie and Lola. Before I edited some episodes were dated back in March 2005, but as far as I can tell elsewhere, the first ep was 7 Nov 2005.
So far I have edited Season 1, using dates from BBC iPlayer (one episode is not on iPlayer), but the result doesn't line up with BBC Genome. Annoyingly, Genome doesn't show the episode titles, but for example the iPlayer dates have multiple episodes on a some days when Genome says there's only one episode that day.
Does anyone have a reliable source of episode dates?

Based on the Genome, the series started effectively on November 7, 2005.
CBeebies has a complete schedule online but, unfortunately, it starts only on March 13, 2007.
I don't trust iPlayer as, manytimes, series aren't broadcasted online the same way that on TV.

I don't think iPlayer even existed in 2005, so who knows where these dates came from!

Are you sure that the episodes were titled at the times of their original release ? If it wasn't the case, they shouldn't be titled here.

Yeah, I'm sure. They have, and always have had, on-screen titles. I think Genome doesn't list the episode titles (or descriptions, or episode numbers) for S1 cos they got the data from Radio Times magazine and the magazine didn't always have space to print all of that :(

For the episode numbers, the episodes should be ordered and numbered in the order of their original broadcast.

Wikipedia use this source, but I don't know how it is reliable. At least the date of the first episode of the 3rd season seems wrong as it doesn't match the online CBeebees schedule.

Yes, I noticed that. I've never heard of the site, personally.

I reached out to BBC Genome and got the following info (the "however" refers to a question I asked which was whether they could make public their "as-broadcast" data, rather than their "as-scheduled" data which is what Genome usually uses. The answer was sadly "no"):
I have made the edits that I am able to, but please can someone do the following:

Apologies for the wait! I removed 3x27 through 3x37 and added an empty season 4. 3x14 to 3x26 has be manually re-entered in season 4, we have no tools to move them. If you'd like to do it, that's be great, but I'll get to it sometime this week.

Hi, thanks!
I have copied eps 3x14-3x26 to season 4, with images etc.
Please can you delete the (now duplicate) eps 3x14 to 3x26 inclusive, and that should close this ticket :)

Done. Thanks for reaching out to the BBC.
