A series that doesn't fascinate

I was surprised to see that this series was made in 2006. Ok it's set in 1973... but it seems like it's also set in 1973! Dialogues, scenes, plot.... too simple, obvious and banal to be a series from the 2000s.

What about it's sequel, Ashes To Ashes? Any better?

It's been a while since I've seen either of them but I did give LOM 5/10 & ATA 6/10. If I gave them a rewatch that could change.
