Joe meets the Eagle Hill Cemetery caretaker In Laura eps then later meets the same man when David goes missing in the secret mausoleum but no mention of the . ( To be completely fair the caretaker is senile but Joel Crothers could have scripted to say ( after Roger pointed out the man was the caretaker) "Oh yes. I met him once before. Ahh he probably doesn't remember it!") Strange thing this says about actor Crothers.
According to this storyline David is the reincarnation of a boy who died in 1867.The lad was named David Radcliffe but there is no mention made of this during the eps where he is missing in the Collins mausoleum. And presumed maybe dead. ( Maybe David was only briefly possessed at the seance by the spirit of David Radcliffe and not his reincarnation.)
How is foxy Laura in 1897 later on the show. I thought she would die every hundred years and be reborn or come back to life so she would only be about 32 in 1967, 2067 etc.

I don't remember the Laura Collins character. Was she portrayed by one of the same main actresses in the cast who played other popular characters?
PS: I just now searched and discovered she was played by Diana Millay (who I don't recall).

As you see Diana Millay only played Laura. In 1967 and 1897 storylines.

Gen, Diana Millay had great chemistry with Mitch Ryan playing Burke Devlin her old flame ( no pun intended). However, his part was taken over by Anthony George. It is harder to imagine George's Burke being Laura's old flame. The two performers probably never met but George's Burke is supposed to be exactly the same as Ryan's Burke. George and Millay were never in the same story line at the same time. Good thing too.

On the DS DVDs sets I own (I have Vols. 1-4), I don't believe I, the other year, got as far along as to 1967 episodes. I think I did watch 1967 episodes, in rerun, back in the day, though.
Meanwhile, I did watch each of the DS theatrical release movies, and see Diana Millay, as Laura Collins, was in one of them.

Sexy and beautiful she was. Also, she sometimes made hilarious but very beautiful faces like in 'Night of Dark Shadows' like when Quentin grabs Tracy and Tracy turns into Diana Millay.

Diana Millay was one of my favorite performers on OG Dark Shadows. Not only was she beautiful and graceful, but she gave extremely sardonic line reads that would always crack me up. I wish she had been on the show more.

Remember in the film when Tracy turns into Laura and the funny face she makes.

Before I had actually seen the eps to the foxy Phoenix storyline ( and just knew of them) I thought when the caretaker mentioned David Brewster to Joe that DB would turn out to be someone in Laura's storyline. Actually, Brewster was never mentioned before or after that one time the caretaker referred to him.
