Never all that interested in Burke, and even less so after the recast, but man -- the guy was the lead from the series' pilot onward and they write him off with a clumsy, off-camera death by plane crash over the Amazon. And the whole thing is resolved in one episode as opposed to the usual weeks/years long "presumed death" trope. Not saying I wanted that cliche necessarily, but killing off Burke so abruptly and dismissively just seems wrong and callous.
