Thanks for your report!
Take a look into the contribution bible here:

Quote:
"Runtime can be entered at both the series and episode level. For shows with variable runtime per episode, you should enter the value for each episode separately and leave the runtime on the series level blank."
That's the case here - different runtimes (50 - 57 - 53):

So, this is correct.

Hi, Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately, just having the episode lengths on each individual episode doesnt add the runtime to Letterboxd. It needs to be in the main box, which is locked.

I see the problem.
However, we can't change a rule here on TMDb because Letterboxd (one of many apps/websites who uses the data from TMDb) does not implement it accordingly.
I don't see a change of the rule happening from our side.
What you could do -> ask the people at Letterboxd if they could implement this differently.
I don't know if this easy to implement or difficult - but asking you can.

Yesterday, I had to edit details on another title. The episode lengths were there, but there was no number in the main runtime, so i added the runtime and it updated just fine, so doesnt seem like its a rule at all, its the fact that the runtime box is locked for seemingly no reason and unable to edit, where other titles are not locked in the same way. This seems like an easy fix

As indicated above, the episode runtime field at the series level should only be used if all the episodes have the same duration.
In any other cases, this field should be locked empty and the runtime should only be indicated at the episode level. If Letterboxd doesn't take these values in account, this is not our fault and you need to ask them to update their site.
We had to remove all the wrong values you have previously added.

I have not added any incorrect values. Everything ive entered has been correct runtimes according to the length of the shows listed. If you can tell me what you've removed, I will speak to Letterboxed to get them all added. It really shouldn't be this difficult to have a total runtime available on tmdb

Every value entered at the series level when each episode has a different length is a wrong value.
For example the value of 46 minutes that you had enter for the show The Hunt for Raoul Moat (2023) is wrong. The 3 episodes have a duration of 47, 46 and 47 minutes (not 46, 46 and 46, which is the meaning of the value you have entered).
Letterboxd should take in account the episode durations set at the episode level. The total runtime of a series should be calculated with these values.

Actually. This is a British production streaming on British streaming service ITVX. Living in britian, I used the ITVX service to get the episode lengths. 47, 46, 47 is actually incorrect and I can provide screenshotted evidence from ITVX streaming

To be precise, they are:
But, in any cases, they should be listed at the episodes level, not at the series level.
