Extra Details: S5 episodes only have Roman numerals for names, but while most episodes of Seasons 1-4 did state "EPISODE [Roman numerals]" at the start of the end credits, they do have names that they are better known by, even if they weren't shown on-screen in the episode itself or credits. Here, almost every episode is listed by just the Roman numerals except for some reason "Robo-Samurai vs. Mondo-Bot" which has both the numerals and the name despite the credits being shown the same as most episodes, and "The Birth of Evil" and "The Scotsman Saves Jack" listed by only their names and not their numerals.
Speaking of The Birth of Evil and The Scotsman Saves Jack, their "The"s are missing here in their titles, they're in the wrong places and they were both two 22m episodes each, not one 44m one - the Birth of Evil's two episodes were just before the S3 finale Jack and the Labyrinth, and The Scotsman Saves Jack's were just before XLIV: The Princess and the Bounty Hunters.
If we are being strict about only using exactly what was shown on screen as the title and not any names from elsewhere, then perhaps the word "Episode" should be included, not just the Roman numerals? And while this would explain [The ]Birth of Evil as a title, it wouldn't explain [The ]Scotsman Saves Jack. The Birth of Evil was an exception where its parts did have 'The Birth of Evil' and '"The Birth of Evil" - Part 2' on screen after the opening sequences instead of the Roman numerals at the end (presumably because it was a flashback story where Jack was barely in it). However, The Scotsman Saves Jack had the normal credits format for both parts so to be consistent it would be titled as [Episode] XLV and XLVI.
The consensus across most sources is to title episodes by their given name, but have the Roman numerals next to the name in some way or another (Google's infobox doesn't include Roman numerals but lists just the name after the ep number in S00 E00 format)

Admittedly Adult Swim's own website just uses the numerals but this may have been for consistency with S5 and has other issues like Jack vs the Ninja being listed as the S3 finale rather than the S4 premiere: https://www.adultswim.com/videos/samurai-jack

I verified seasons 2-4 using the titles and air dates from a few archived Cartoon Network schedules I was able to find online (you can see them in this reply). Seasons 1 and 5 were left untouched as I was not able to find schedules for them and anything I was unable to confirm was also left untouched.
The last archived schedule only has one instance of Birth of Evil and Scotsman Saves Jack on their respective original air dates so each was aired as a double-episode.
As for the placement of those two episodes, I don't know when each season started/ended so I reorganized them within the existing structure. Since season 4 apparently already started with XL (Jack vs the Ninja) on June 14, 2003, both episodes should be listed on TMDB as part of season 4 as they aired in August 2003. Episodes should be listed in their original air date order.
