Grilled by her parents, the birdbrain admits that her lover is robber Robbo and tries to 'deflect' anger by blurting out to mother that Bailey helped Mason by driving her car as getaway and father kept well-meaning kid son's part out of official records.

Kyle is not amused to learn that she not only bailed on the birthday party he threw for her, apparently pretending to do an extra shift, but spent the evening with studly new barman Peter. Although the mates need a third man instead of Rhys, Kyle jealously rejects Peter, so Rhiannon gets the room. She does arrives with the triumphant news just when mason is mending his chances for another date with Kate, who feels he just has a fetish for 'older women'.

Mason changes his plans after Rhiannon confesses she, not Robbo, sent the threatening letter to his father on jealous impulse.

The excuse about an imaginary cat passed on to father betrays they were there, Bailey spills the beans and the Mason men make a pact. Mason tells Rhiannon there's no point in moving in to be near him, who will never love her, which fuels her jealousy of Kate, but she can't afford moving back home, where her sister minds her young son. Lucas's renovations in his house delight Vanessa, who can't wait to move in. Mason promises to get rid of Rhiannon, but sees no realistic way. Karl forces Lucas to face a test with grim results: he has testicular cancer, which must be removed urgently if it hasn't spread tragically already. Luckily for Ajay, Priya's therapy period diary, which Kate unwittingly encouraged Rani to read, proves that she remained confident in her frustrated daughter's love. He's too clever to walk into the actual trap and even files a complaint himself for harassment, but when Georgia recognizes his mother as a hospital colleague with chronic back troubles, the pieces fall in place. Paul's last attempt to bribe his way out of the fraud allegations doesn't achieve the desired result.

When Lucas learns from Stephanie that Vanessa has been married but never told him, he calls off the wedding without waiting for her story, actually that it was an impulsive girlish error to rebel. Romantic rivals Baily and Callum both do audition for the lead in a school play to be 'directed' by indecisive Rani.

Kyle is puzzled when just after even Sheila gives them her blessing, Georgia again leaves his hot-tub with a feeble excuse. this time she's scared to tell him she applied for an overseas relief nursing course, despite an earlier promise to stay with him.
