A one-hour special program aired once a month to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the start of broadcasting. Produced with the theme of "Why did civilizations prosper and why did they fall?", seven reporting teams covered 150 cultural heritage sites in 44 countries. Starting from Shosoin in Nara, he traced the path of cultural exchange that reached Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and Africa. The 10th volume, "Magnificent Exchange: Silk Road," was considered to be of high academic value. Composed by Naoya Yoshida. Actress Tomomi Sato appears as the narrator and traveler.
