Discuss Star Trek

When Pike is illusion-trapped in a room and she ( dressed as a green Orion slave girl) approaches him with a torch in her hand. This look is not the best look for her-- she is much more beautiful blonde with light skin. But the face she acted out ( or the director got her to do this) is so powerful as she looks at Pike. And so different than the way she looked acted and acted when the Keeper looked at the two of them in their cell and she took her hands off Pike.

Melissa George, who played the role in "Discovery," is attractive, but no Susan Oliver.

Just as Zooey Deschanel, who played Trillian in the "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" movie, was no Sandra Dickinson, who was in the BBC TV mini-series.

Well, Knixon. That is very bad TV after 1985.

I haven't given it a lot of thought, beyond that Susan Oliver could easily be a "dream woman" while Melissa George is not. Although she was good in "Hunted." But she wasn't trying to be Susan Oliver there.

Knix, the art of presenting women to look beautiful is a dying one. Since 1984 that art has declined a lot.
