I removed seasons 7 and 8.

Hi Rebecca, I have the original DVDs for the Avengers and the DVDs for the new Avengers, which show season 7 and season 8 as part of the original Avengers series and are not part of the New Avengers series. I also have the DVDs for the new Avengers, and the episodes are different. I will be happy to take a photo of the DVds if warranted.

Just fyi the rules of this site is to follow the first official release- which is usually its initial broadcast on its original network- not usually dvd releases.

You don't (assuming the dvd's are not the original release of this tv show). Pleae dont break the rules of the website. Content that shouldnt be on the database will get removed. And offenders that repeatedly ignore the rules can get banned.

The DVDs in question were aired on tv with air dates . I entered the episodes and air dates along with the IMBD information. I am not trying to break the rules I am trying to enter legit information into the database. I want to ensure the database is as accurate as possible. If you go to the imbd database or google and search for original avengers season 7 an eight you will find the information. JK

So are you claiming that the original airing of this tv show on tv included season 7 and 8? According to the two mods on this thread they did not.

If you add season 7 and 8 because they are in the dvd release, and if the dvd was released after the airing of the show on tv, and the airing of the show on tv did not include season 7 or 8- you would be breaking the rules of the database.

IMDB is not a reliable source for this database generally speaking and should not be used as evidence. "Google" is also not a source, its just a search engine.

I found the information on several databases . It appears that the series is incomplete. Seasons 7 and 8 look like they were orphaned from the original Avengers series. I can find the data in several sources as stand-alone seasons, but referring to the original Avengers series. I can send you links if you want. This is a unique problem, but in the effort to correct the database, I hope it can be resolved. It looks like the official databases need to be updated to include seasons 7 and 8 as part of the original Avengers series. How can we make that happen?

What does "season 7 and 8 look like they were orphaned from the orignial Avenger series" mean? And more importantly, what relevance has that to whether or not the original airing of the series included season 7 and 8?

It generally doesnt matter what other databases say (assuming youre talking about user-contributed databases like imdb, wikipedia, tvdb and fan sites etc.). All that matter is whether or not the original airing of this series on tv included season 7 and 8- are you claiming that? (and to be clear no, just because other user-contributed databases include season 7 and 8 does not mean the original airing of the series included season 7 and 8)

As long as the original airing did not include season 7 and 8, we cannot "make that happen" since it would be against the rules of the site.

To correctly align the seasons :

• IMDB season 5 + IMDB season 6 = TMDB season 5
• IMDB season 7 = TMDB season 6

All the episodes listed on IMDB are listed on TMDB.

You can create an episode group for the order of the episodes on your DVDs.
