As I mentioned in another classic-TV forum, I absolutely loved it during its first run, and even after several viewings of each episode. But what became tiring, especially upon repeat viewing, was the writers' tendency in many episodes to pad the show by repeating the same type of crime or lengthy action sequence several times, changing only minor details. It just seemed mentally lazy to me. Other than that, it remains a classic; and Steed & Peel are inimitable.
