故事讲述一位菜市场的普通小贩许芳华（苏盈芝饰）是位乐于助人的单亲妈妈，为了帮助被诈骗的好友刘丽芬（罗忆诗饰）而掉进另一个诈骗局，导致失去女儿沈嘉雯（梁祖仪饰）的升学金，面对着贪婪和充满欺诈的世界，机缘巧合结识了善于计谋的博士蔡子博（林德荣饰）、邂逅昔日好友石美仪（张嘉汶饰）等，她竟也踏上了诈骗的道路。而沈嘉雯的生活也在认识了富二代Sean（温杨饰）之后有了变化，被物质与虚名蒙蔽了双眼，卷入了另一个诈骗的圈套。
