How did a good show like this get cancled

The last ep was good as they all head off to the concert. But it deserved a second season. Maybe today it would be on netflicks

Completely agree. This show was so good and deserved many more episodes. However, I say this with the perspective of watching it many years later. Perhaps the time it was made impacted why it didn't work for some reason... ?

Because it was good. People weren't used to good TV shows back then.

It may be where it came to early. It dealt with the nostalgia of the 80s, character arches carrying over and some very heavy themes. I feel like the time just wasn't right.

Yeah, it's a shame. If it came out now it would be a huge hit.
Have you watched Undeclared? It's the show Judd Appatow did after F&G. That got cancelled too. It's pretty good.

No, but I'll see about it. I just went on a dvd shopping spree in the three dollar bin and I'm trying to catch up. Once that's over I'll see about it. I hope it has his humor.
