I lived in Jamaica from 1995 to 1997 and caught a part of one episode. I just remember the "Victor" of the show catching disdain from a woman quite clear how she feels about him:

Woman: "Mr. Tavares, I..." Tavares: "Please, my friends call me 'Sonny T'." Woman: (stares incredulously, and then) "Mister Taveres..."

Clearly, she did not consider them to be friends!

Yep. I added a page for the show here on TMDb. Now it'll be up to the community to chip in and build up the data. That said, there isn't much on IMDb either. I'm curious just how many Jamaicans who know the show are here at all!

It is weird...but, we may expect the early episodes to explain it. There is also a spin-off show called The Blackburns which may shed further light on this curiosity.

I did find one Blackburn, he is only listed as Richard (played by Adam Hyde). Most things I find are in a Jamaican newspaper, The Gleaner.
