Discuss I Am Groot

I am aware of the stance with Season 1 not being listed.

My report deals specifically with the upcoming scraping problems due to this stance and if @travis can comment on this, it would be great. It won't be only Kodi that will receive a flood of posts regarding problems scraping this show.

Season 1 has been excluded from this show
Season 2 has been listed in this show

But "Season 2" is just a name. Season 2 has been created as the API's Season 1.

Users will now name their files S02E01, but the API is expecting S01E01.

How will this be rectified?

The filenames should be S01E01, ...

This is the same case as with the French series La Doc et le Véto where the episodes 3 and 4 should be named 1 and 2 because the previous ones were originally released as movies as explained here.

I don't see episodes 3 and 4 in your example. I only see episodes 1 and 2 in the listing. I don't see this as the same case.

Almost everybody that scrapes Season 2 of I am Groot will get it wrong. It is clearly stated on the website Season 2, but that is not the case, it is actually API Season 1.

How is a user meant to know that?

They were broadcasted as episodes 3 and 4 by the network which now consider the 2 movies as episodes 1 and 2.

@superboy97

Not sure if you are intentionally ignoring the problem?

Anyway, for other users trying to scrape this show, read my post here... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=374330

The season coming out tomorrow is now numbered season 2.

That is great @superboy97

Thank you!! :)
