This series is produced by United States companies. Consequently, the origin country should be "United States" and the origin language should be "English".

The spoken language field is correctly set to Spanish.

This makes zero sense. First of all, Zorro Productions is just a copyright owner of the "Zorro" trademark and is only credited as such. The series was co-produced by Secuoya Ficción SL and Zorro La Serie SL, both companies are registered in Spain. Secuoya Studios is an international company, that produces Spanish-language content, and is owned by Spanish Secuoya Group. And the show was filmed on Gran Canaria, which is a Spanish autonomy.

So the OP is absolutely correct. It is produced in Spain, by Spanish companies, in Spanish.

All of the previously listed production companies were added based on the companies credited in various press releases in both English and Spanish which credited only US-based companies; Secuoya Ficcíon and Zorro la serie were never mentioned anywhere.

The production companies, original language, origin country, and release dates (series does not release in Spain until Jan 25) have all been updated.

Secuoya Studios is an international company, that produces Spanish-language content, and is owned by Spanish Secuoya Group.

I mean, the language the company produces in doesn't really matter; it's where they're headquartered. For example, Telemundo is a network and production company headquartered in Miami, Florida whose network is only available in the US and its territories and only produces Spanish-language content.

And the show was filmed on Gran Canaria, which is a Spanish autonomy.

That's not relevant at all. The Alienist, for example, is a US production that was filmed solely in Budapest, Hungary.

Secuoya Studios, initially set as a production company, is registered in Granada.

Good, thank you.

This was all relevant as an example of the complete absurdness of the situation, where literally everything about the show is Spanish, yet the language was set to English.

Just so you know, the place where a company is registered does not mean that's where their headquarters is located. The Walt Disney Company, for example, is registered in Delaware but their headquarters are in California and they've never had a headquarters in Delaware.

Secuoya Studios has offices in Spain (Madrid [HQ] and Granada), Chile (Santiago de Chile), Colombia (Bogota) and the United States (Los Angeles and Miami), with Los Angeles being where the president of the company is based out of. If you've read the Contribution Bible, you'd know that each office is eligible to be added as a separate production company on TMBD depending on the producers credited and what office they work out of.

This was all relevant as an example of the complete absurdness of the situation, where literally everything about the show is Spanish, yet the language was set to English.

No, it wasn't. The example you gave was about the filming location, which has absolutely no relevance when it comes to the original language, production companies, or production countries on TMDB.

If you need reminding, original language =/= spoken language; that's why they are two different fields. Original language corresponds to the production countries and spoken language corresponds to the language spoken in the original version of the movie/TV show.

Take 2014's A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night for example; the movie is a Farsi-language US production filmed in California. As such, the original language is English because of the production companies (not the filming location) and the spoken language is Farsi (Persian) because that's the language spoken in the original version of the film.
