Kate così racconta la verità, cioè che Kim non è la figlia biologica di Joe, infatti Elizabeth, la madre dei tre ragazzi, anni prima era stata insieme ad un suo collega. Rivelata questa notizia, la famiglia sembra distrutta, ma Joe, in fin di vita riesce comunque a suonare una vecchia canone “'Til We Meet Again” e tutta la famiglia di unisce a cantare.
