Why do you think Nancy married Dale?

We’ve seen that Nancy is rather shallow (“I don’t want to live in a world where brains are prized over beauty.”), so it’s not Dale’s looks. We know Nancy makes more, so it’s not money. Just what was it that Nancy saw in Dale that made her want to stay with him for all of those years?
