I am more familiar with her as Gidget, although both shows were before my time. I have seen a few episodes of TFN over the years. Sally has expressed many times although she appreciated the show, she was tired of playing the goody goody during the era's radical times.

Gidget and Elsie Ethrington are the same person. She didn't know what to be, until one day she saw her aunt doing missionary work. This made such a big impression on her that she breaks up with her then boyfriend, a toy salesman, and becomes a nun at the 'Convento San Tanco' in San Juan, Puerto Rico, taking on the name Sister Bertrille.
