I like having females be heroes that isn't my complaint. It's the straight white male always being the villain I have a problem with. That and straight white people no longer having white love interests as if that is somehow bad in and of itself.

They changed the main guy from white to Chinese, and his sidekick from male to female. That's the first red flag. It's premiering on NBC/Peacock which is the second one. There's no doubt that this is going to be a train wreck but I'll probably watch it just to see how well they capture the 80s.

It doesn't take place in the 80s.
