With the future of Sherlock in ITV Limbo, there are four excellent seasons of the series available for viewing and for purchase. After repeated viewing, what is next for you?
My time is being invested in - once again - reading Sir Arthur four books and 56 short stories of his Great Detective and faithful friend, Dr. Watson. Along with the literary canon, I have several pastiche authors whose books and stories I read again and often (she said, redundantly): all of Laurie R. King's Mary Russell-Sherlock Holmes series; all of Geri Schear's Sherlock Holmes' Diaries, and several others.
Plus, there are so many additional films and TV shows to watch like Queen Elizabeth II's favorite series that was made in Russia with subtitles. A British series that I have enjoyed in an abbreviated 30-minute format with Ronald Howard as Holmes. The capture the essence of ACD's original stories along with a few new ones from other writers. There are many fine movies (and not-so-much) based on Holmes and Watson to discuss.
Would it be better to divide these topics into four new threads with one for each: films, TV series, ACD's original books/stories, and pastiche authors? Any thoughts?
Having been here now seven days, I have still been confused when I expected to open an IMDb link, so yesterday I removed everything from my internet folders. It is easier to make a commitment without The Ghost of IMDb Past haunting my connection.
